here are stray animals not only abroad: in Germany, too, around 2 million feral domestic cats live on the streets. They suffer from hunger, cold, illness and injuries. The misery of these animals is permanently worsened by the uncontrolled reproduction, to which also uncastrated domestic cats with free access contribute.The alliance “Pro ” was founded in 2011 by TASSO eV., FOUR PAWS - Foundation for Animal Welfare and the Federation against Abuse of Animals eV (bmt) .

It advocates a statutory castration, identification and registration obligation for house cats with free access.
In addition, the alliance carries out castration campaigns for stray cats and supports cities and municipalities in the implementation of municipal cat protection regulations.

Happy Cat supports the "Pro Katzen" alliance with an annual donation.

These measures are a matter of course for us:

We cover part of our electricity consumption with our own photovoltaic systems
We take part in the dual system (Green Dot) and thus save CO2, crude oil, etc.
Our modern production facilities protect the environment and save water and energy
All cardboard packaging is made from 100% recycled paper
We use up to 80% raw materials from the region - short transport routes mean less environmental pollution

We plant trees!

Afforestation of Forests: Billion Tree Campaign

Our principle in climate protection is: reduction before compensation . Nevertheless, in the production of dog food, emissions are unavoidable. That is why we have been supporting the reforestation of forests by the climate protection organization Plant-for-the-Planet since the beginning of 2011 . In 2019, more than 8,000 trees were planted for Happy Dog, of which each tree can absorb around 200 kg of CO2 in the course of its life.

So that zoo animals can be kept as species-appropriate as possible, many measures are necessary: optimally designed enclosures, individual occupation of the individual animal species and species-appropriate feeding of the animals are just a few examples that modern zoos take into account today.
